Artificial intelligence is one emerging technology that
seeks to simulate human reasoning in artificial intelligence systems. John
McCarthy coined the term artificial intelligence in 1950.
The benefits of AI applications are huge and can
revolutionize any professional sector. Let's look at some of them
1) Reduction of human errors:
The phrase "human error" was born because people
make mistakes from time to time. However, computers do not make these mistakes
if they are programmed correctly. In artificial intelligence, decisions are
made from previously gathered information using a certain set of algorithms.
Errors are thus reduced and the chance of achieving accuracy with a higher
degree of accuracy is possible.
Example: They reduced most of the human errors in weather
forecasting with AI.

This is one of the biggest advantages of artificial
intelligence. We can overcome many of the risky limitations of humans by

The average person will work 4-6 hours a day without breaks.
People are built to take time to refresh and prepare for a new day at work, and
even have a week off to keep their work and personal lives intact. But with the
help of artificial intelligence, we can make machines work 24x7 without breaks
and unlike humans, they don't even get bored.
Example: Educational institutes and help centers receive
many queries and problems which can be effectively solved by AI.
4) Help with repetitive work:
In our day-to-day work, we will do many repetitive tasks
like sending a thank-you email, checking certain documents for errors, and many
other things. Using artificial intelligence, we can productively automate these
mundane tasks, and we can even remove the “boring” tasks for humans, freeing
them up to be more and more creative.
Example: In banks, we often encounter many document
verifications for obtaining a loan, which is a repetitive task for the bank

Example: We've all played chess games on Windows. It's almost
impossible to beat the CPU on hard mode because of the AI behind this game.
It will make the best possible move in a very short time according to the
algorithms used.

Everyday apps like Apple Siri, Window Cortana, Google OK Google
are often used in our daily routine, be it location search, selfie taking,
phone calls, email reply and many more.
Example: About 20 years ago, when we were planning to go
somewhere, we asked a person who had already gone there for directions. But now
all we have to do is say “OK Google where is Visakhapatnam”. It will show you
the location of Visakhapatnam on Google map and the best route between you and
Visakhapatnam.
8) New inventions:
Artificial intelligence is driving many inventions in almost
every field to help humans solve most complex problems.
Example: Recently, doctors can predict breast cancer in
women at earlier stages using advanced technologies based on artificial
intelligence.
Like any light side, it has a darker version within it.
Artificial intelligence also has some disadvantages. Let's look at some of them
1) High production costs:
Artificial intelligence is updated every day, so hardware
and software must be updated over time to meet the latest requirements. The
machines require repairs and maintenance, which require significant costs. Its
creation requires huge costs, as these are very complex machines.
2) Making people lazy:
Artificial intelligence makes people lazy with its
applications that automate most of the work. People tend to depend on these
inventions, which can cause a problem for future generations.
3) Unemployment:
As artificial intelligence replaces most repetitive tasks
and other jobs with robots, human intervention is reduced, causing a major
problem in labor standards. Every organization is trying to replace minimally
qualified individuals with robots with artificial intelligence that can perform
similar work more efficiently.
4) No emotions:
There is no doubt that machines are much better when it
comes to working efficiently, but they cannot replace the human connection that
forms a team. Machines cannot bond with humans, which is an essential attribute
when it comes to team management.
